Your new Opportunity:

The Director, Planning is responsible for directly leading the Pacific Planning team, and partnering with the Planning team in Korea, to deliver effective management of the ‘planning” processes to assist in the achievement of the Division’s annual sales, (gross margin) profit and stock turn targets. The position drives efficiencies through systems, processes, and planning tasks. This role will manage the seasonal Planning Calendar, ensuring all tasks both internal and with external partners are met in a timely manner. 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Refine efficiencies across the Asia Pacific planning team, aligning on systems, processes and planning tasks.
  • Make decisions, to guide the team in achieving the Division’s annual sales, (gross margin) profit and stock turn targets.
  • Manage, analyze and further develop all financial & product reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) and aim for constant improvements for Foot Locker Asia Pacific
  • Partner with the Buying, Marketing and Allocation departments to deliver on buying targets for key categories/stories and maximize the Omni sales potential
  • Effectively lead the Planning team (including product / department delegation), to guide and partner with the buying team make the right purchasing decisions to exceed the company goals
  • Develop ongoing team training of existing systems and the adoption of new processes/systems to be introduced into the FL APAC business
  • Work with our Global partners to align on best practices and provide a smooth adoption of any new systems/processes
  • Lead the Foot Locker APAC team through all internal communication touch points.
  • Work closely with all vendor partners to effectively manage inventory from order flow, intake, sell through reporting and analysis, and collaborating on necessary clearance actions (partnered markdown credits, RTVs)
  • Work with finance team to execute against in-season and key moment promotional activity. Understand and strategise specifically to each market.
  • Partner with the Director, Supply Chain Ops and Director, Allocation to set the strategic guidelines on multi-distribution center deliveries, inter-divisional shipping and bin/case lot processes for each division.
  • Leverage the strength and partnership with the Global Planning teams to ensure synergistic strategies and sharing best practices


About You: 

  • Bachelor Degree in Business /Marketing or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in retail Planning or Allocation
  • Strong leadership skills - Minimum 4-5 years of people management experience required
  • Understands retail industry and differences market/country
  • Experience with process design and structuring is highly preferred
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills: ability to draw conclusions from numerical data (sales, digital traffic) and derive strategies aiming at increasing overall profitability
  • Strong computer skills and experience with database management, content management is highly desirable
  • Superior communication skills and ability to influence; natural ability to engage others into buying into a vision or a solution, while keeping an open mind to others' opinions.
  • Proactive communication, energy, and inspires trust
  • Strong level of autonomy and self-accountability; acquired ability to formulate solutions prior to escalating issues and keep sensitive of all risks and impacts of solutions.
  • Able to work as part of a team and coordinate activities with other departments in an engaging way
  • Ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines and changing priorities
  • Excellent project management skills with hands-on attitude: ability to drive and manage projects from concept to roll-out execution
